Mongolian President Battulga Khaltmaa awarded Mikhail Lifshitz, COB of “ROTEC” JSC and “Uralsky Turbinny Zavod” JSC, with the Order of the North Star.

Mr. Lifshitz was presented with the Order by the Mongolian Ambassador to Russia Davaa Dulamsuren. The ceremony was held on the 30^th of March in the Mongolian Embassy in Moscow.

By having put four power units of the CHPP-4, Mongolian largest coal-heated power plant, into operation in January, 2021, Russian specialists completed the most ambitious modernisation of the country’s energy system in the last 30 years.

The reconstruction will ensure sustained heat and electricity supply to more than 120 thousand households, social and industrial buildings for the next 40 years. The new power units are more efficient and eco-friendlier at the same time. The engineers have managed to increase fuel efficiency by 200 thousand metric tons of coal per year while reducing emissions by 10%.
