April, 12, online event “Space Heroes and the Youth” was held upon the initiative of the MP Tsogtbaatar Damdin to commemorate the 60^th anniversary of the first journey into outer space in the history of mankind made by Yuri Gagarin. Russian Ambassador to Mongolia Iskander Azizov, the Embassy’s Counsellor and Director of the Russian Cultural Centre in Ulaanbaatar Amgalan Bazarkhandaev, Soviet cosmonaut and twice Hero of the Soviet Union Vladimir Dzhanibekov and the first Mongolian cosmonaut Gurragchaa Jugderdemid took part in the conference.

While addressing himself to the audience the Ambassador congratulated everyone on the International Day of Human Space Flight and wished everyone to set goals as high as space flights.

The event was met with great interest by the Mongolian audience, who actively engaged in the discussion and asked the guests interesting questions.
