The Minister-counsellor of the Russian Embassy R.R.Rakshaev held a briefing on the upcoming presidential elections in Russia for the local media on March 6, 2018.
Journalists were given up-to-date information on the preparations for this important event, candidates, voting procedure which will take place not only in Russia but abroad including Mongolia. Russian citizens living in Mongolia may cast their votes on March 18 from 8 AM until 8 PM in Ulaanbaatar, Darkhan and Erdenet.
According to the Divisional election committee, there are 1758 Russian citizens eligible to vote in Mongolia. The majority of them expressed their will to participate in the elections.
The Minister-counsellor said that 5 Mongolian MPs, 3 officers of the General election committee of Mongolia and one representative of the MPP will visit Moscow as international election observers.
R.R.Rakshaev expressed his appreciation to the administrative and law-enforcement bodies of Mongolia for their prompt contribution into organization of the election campaign and security measures undertaken at the polling stations on the Election Day.
