On the occasion of the Diplomatic Worker’s Day a number of solemn events took place in Ulaanbaatar

On the occasion of the Diplomatic Worker’s Day a number of solemn events took place in Ulaanbaatar.

An exhibition “First steps of Russian diplomacy, 1917-1922” dedicated to the formation of diplomatic service in Russia was exposed in the Russian Embassy in Mongolia and The Ministry of Foreign Relations of Mongolia.

The school under the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Mongolia held special lessons dedicated to Diplomatic Worker’s Day on February 6, 2018. The students learned about the history of the Russian diplomatic service and its most famous diplomats who made a great contribution to the development of Russian and Soviet relations with other states. Most questions asked by the students focused on the qualities a modern diplomatic worker must have.

On February 9, 2018 a number of Mongolian media (leading daily newspapers “Odriin sonin”, “Onoodor”, “Undesnii shuudan”, Russian language newspaper “Novosti Mongolii”, news portal ikon.mn) published an article written by the First Secretary of the Embassy E.I.Lishtovanny that touched upon main vectors and achievements of Russian diplomacy at the international and regional levels.

A literary event was held at the Embassy’s Library on February 10. 2018.

Sports games dedicated to this professional holiday also took place at the Embassy of Russia. Diplomats competed on the badminton court and at the billiards and table tennis tables.
