On June 25, the Irkutsk region of the Russian Federation faced severe flooding, drowned more than 100 settlements. It has completely destroyed 3.5 thousand homes. About 33 thousand people partially or completely lost their property. As things stand on July 5, the death of 20 people was officially confirmed, and more than 300 citizens were hospitalized.

In a message addressed to the Russian President Vladimir Putin, the President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga expressed his condolences for the loss of life and material damage.

The United Council of Mongolian graduates of foreign universities offered to organize a Charity event to help victims of the disaster. The initiative was supported by the President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga, and on July 5 this year the first batch of humanitarian cargo with a total weight of about 10 tons (food, clothing) arrived in the Irkutsk region. The second is due for delivery on July 6. The government of Mongolia has decided to transfer funds in the amount of 1 million rubles to the regional budget. The President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga also announced his readiness to accept 100 children from flooded areas in the country's summer camps.
