Days of Russian-Mongolian Friendship and Cooperation

Days of Russian-Mongolian Friendship and Cooperation, that bring various vivid and memorable events aimed at deepening the humanitarian and trade-economic ties between the peoples of Russia and Mongolia, developing cultural cooperation, and expanding science and education exchanges kicked off in Ulaanbaatar on 2 October 2017.

The opening ceremony took place in Central Palace of Culture where was placed an exhibition “Vernisage” dedicated to Russia and Russians. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mongolia Iskander K.Azizov and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar S.Batbold welcomed the guests. The ceremony concluded with a brilliant concert “Melodies of Russia” given by music performers from Russia and Mongolia. Ensemble from Novosibirsk “Siberian patterns”, trio “Druzhina” and Mongolian song and dance ensemble “Ulaanbaatar” appeared on a stage.

Within the framework of the Days of Russian-Mongolian Friendship and Cooperation from October 2 until November 24, numerous events will take place not only in the capital but also in many regions of Mongolia where operate branches of the Russian Center of Science and Culture. Until the end of the year new offices will be open in 6 aimags. Russian language contest will also be held among professors and students, winners will obtain certificates that will grant privilege on entering Russian universities, professors will get a right on free training in Russia.
