Visa
1. GENERAL INFORMATION.
A single-entry or double-entry visa to Russia is issued for up to 90 days, tourist visa - for up to 30 days, multiple-entry visa - for 6 months or 1 year, unless otherwise provided by an international treaty or internal acts of the Russian Federation. The validity of a transit visa may not exceed 10 days, in case of air travel - 3 days.
Visa processing time for Mongolian citizens is up to 4 working days. Urgent visa can be issued on the next day.
Payment is made strictly on the day of application until 12:30. In summer time until 12:00.
Third-country nationals are required to have a residence permit in Mongolia (giving right to a continuous stay in Mongolia for than 90 days) except for citizens of the USA, Republic of Korea, India and Iran, with whom there are relevant agreements.
ATTENTION:
The diplomat is not obliged to explain the reasons for refusing to issue a visa.
The money accepted as payment for consular actions is non-refundable.
A passport with a visa is issued upon presentation of the payment receipt and an identity document.
2. A CITIZEN WISHING TO OBTAIN A VISA TO RUSSIA MUST PRESENT::
- National passport for travel
Passport must have at least 2 blank pages.
The expiration date of the passport must not be less than 6 months from the date of departure from the Russian Federation. In case of need to obtain a visa to Russia for emergency treatment, or due to serious illness or death of a close relative, the passport validity period must not expire before the expiration date of the visa. In case of issuance of a study or work visa, the passport validity period should not expire earlier than 1.5 years from the date of commencement of the visa.
If a citizen travels together with children under the age of 18, the child must have his/her own passport together with birth certificate (original) translated into Russian. Minor citizens traveling alone or accompanied by third parties must also have a notarized consent from one of their parents to travel abroad translated into Russian.
- A photo on a white background 3.5*4.5 cm (1 piece) Photos of citizens wearing hats and glasses are not accepted.
- - Visa application form (1 copy) In case of providing incomplete or incorrect data in the application form, the diplomat has the right to return the documents
- The visa application form shall be filled in electronically by the applicant on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia visa.kdmid.ru and printed out
- Health insurance policy (for citizens of 3 countries). The foreign company issuing the policy must have a partner in Russia.
If there are errors in the invitation – You won't be able to get a visa.
THE GROUNDS FOR ISSUANCE OF A VISA ARE::
For traveling with a private purpose:
an electronic invitation issued by the Main Directorate for Migration Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation
For travel at the invitation of federal authorities:
an electronic invitation issued by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia or regional offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
For traveling to study:
an electronic invitation of Russian university or college, issued by the Main Directorate for Migration Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. For those traveling to study on a state scholarship - an invitation from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia. * For those traveling for more than 3 months it is necessary to present a certificate of absence of HIV infection;
For travel for the purpose of employment:
an electronic invitation, issued by the Main Directorate for Migration Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation;
*If traveling for more than 3 months - a certificate of absence of HIV infection. Highly qualified specialists also provide a copy of the employment contract (for work visas with a stay of more than 3 months).
For tourist travel:
a tourist voucher and a confirmation of admission of a foreign tourist by one of the Russian travel agencies registered in the Russian tour operators register.
For travel for business (commercial) purposes:
an electronic invitation, issued by the Main Directorate for Migration Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
For transit travel – - a visa or the other official confirmation of the right to enter the country of destination;
- travel documents: tickets for the entire travel route (if it is impossible to get a ticket - a document on booking a seat to the destination);
- when traveling by private vehicle/motorcycle: the vehicle passport, your driver's license;
- when traveling by a cab: an itinerary.
Note:
Visa is not required in case of transit through the territory of Russia by air with a stay in transit zone of an international airport for up to 24 hours - if you have a ticket for the entire route. In case of change of airport a visa is required.
